RLU results are naturally "spiky": mostly low, with occasional high readings, so raw numbers are hard to read on one chart. This dashboard compresses the scale for readability, but every number shown to you — axis labels, tooltips, stats — is converted back to real RLU. How to read this dashboard

RLU (Relative Light Units) is what the ATP meter reports. It measures light given off by a chemical reaction with residual biological material — food residue, organic soil, microbes. Lower RLU is better — it means less residue was left on the surface.

The dotted line is the pass/fail threshold for this surface. The "Latest" reading above turns red when it's over that threshold. Thresholds are set per surface and may change as we refine them, so the line's position can move over time — it isn't a fixed statistical calculation.

The trend line is a rolling average of the last several readings. A trend line sloping downward over time is a real, visible sign of improvement, even on days when an individual reading was already fine.

Why the scale looks compressed: RLU values for one piece of equipment can span from under 100 to over a million. To fit that on one readable chart we compress the vertical scale — but every label, tooltip, and number you see is converted back into real RLU so you're never reading a "log" number.
